Jeff Majtyka, PRESIDENT
Following two-plus decades helping build leading independent investor and public relations agencies, Jeff founded Ellipsis to help companies better connect communications strategy to their business objectives. Over his career, Jeff has partnered with executive and communications teams at companies including Facebook, Pixar Animation Studios, Tesla Motors, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lam Research among many others, from startups to industry leaders. He has counseled his clients through IPOs, friendly and contested M&A transactions, proxy fights, business transformations and other critical events. Jeff is known for his collaborative, strategic approach to client engagements and his straight, actionable advice. A former reporter, Jeff earned his B.A. from The College of William & Mary and his M.B.A. from the College’s Mason School of Business.
Bob Jones, MANAGING DIRECTOR - New York
Bob is an expert communications and investor relations executive with substantial corporate and advisory experience. Throughout his twenty-five year career in business communications he has worked closely with executive management teams from both public and private companies to create and execute communications programs that enhance management credibility and corporate reputation. Bob served as head of investor relations, chief spokesperson and as a member of the Executive Management Committee for Monster.com, a $5 billion market cap industry leader at its peak. He also served as CEO of Morgen-Walke Associates, one of the largest financial communications advisory firms in the U.S. He started his career in the market development division of the American Stock Exchange.
Bob is a native New Yorker and earned his MBA from Pace University-Lubin School of Business and a BA in Marketing Management from Baruch College, CUNY. He is active in local charity and civic causes and is a Trustee for VHHS, the largest private non-profit home healthcare organization in Bergen County, NJ.
willa mcmanmon, MANAgING DIRECTOR – Silicon Valley
Willa joined Ellipsis in 2018 to build the firm’s west coast operations, leveraging her twenty-years of experience as a technology IRO. She is experienced in late-stage fundraising and the intricacies of the IPO process as well as the IR challenges facing mature public companies. She began her career on the agency-side primarily helping pre-IPO companies through the IPO process. There she advised clients on navigating an IPO, establishing internal IR functions and ongoing investor communications in the public markets. She went in-house to work with companies including Selectica (took the company public), Clarify (acquired by Nortel), Trimble and Cisco/Jasper. Willa spent ten years at Trimble as the company grew its revenue from $648 million to $2.4 billion, gaining deep experience of managing IR through transitions in investor size and style. She has a deep understanding of investor targeting and positioning and is well-versed in defining and communicating the KPIs that matter for investor analysis and valuation. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Taylor Krafchik, Director
Taylor joined Ellipsis’ New York office in 2016 and brings a strong background in IR program development from leading consulting firms, with experience in messaging and story development, IPO support, M&A transactions, and activism and proxy advisory. At Ellipsis, Taylor is responsible for client program management as well as helping coordinate the firm’s market intelligence and business development activities. During his career, Taylor has supported a diverse group of companies across a broad range of sectors including Technology, Industrials, Consumer and Real Estate. Taylor earned his B.S. from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.
Bringing a unique mix of investor relations, public relations and marketing expertise, Jenny joined Ellipsis in 2017. Jenny’s corporate communications experience includes strategic IR program development and management, M&A counsel and logistics, investor and analyst marketing efforts, and media relations across a diverse range of industries. Prior to Ellipsis, Jenny was a Senior Account Executive at a top integrated communications firm where she supported an expansive group of companies including Entravision, Systemax, PricewaterhouseCoopers, New York Times and Alleghany in both IR and PR functions. Jenny earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
